Zulemi is a wedding page made by Scaling Forever LLC. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep about couples and their guests, why we keep it, and what you can do about it. If something here is unclear, write to us.
Who is who
Hosts are the couple and the helpers they invite, such as family or a planner. Hosts sign in. Guests open a private invitation link and never make an account.
The couple decides which guest details to add to their wedding and is responsible for having permission to add them; Scaling Forever LLC runs the service that stores and shows them. We use those details only to run the couple's page and invitations. Scaling Forever LLC is responsible for host accounts and purchases.
Signing in
There are no passwords. You type your email address and we email you a 6-digit code (and a link that works in the same browser). The code expires after 10 minutes and works once.
For your account we keep your email address, a random account ID, and when you joined and last signed in. You stay signed in for up to 30 days, then we ask for a new code.
What hosts add
To build a wedding page, hosts may add:
- the couple's names, the date, the events and their places and times, and the words and details shown on the page
- guest names, grouped into households, with a side, a group and a table if the couple wants them
- an email address for a household, if the couple wants to send the invitation by email
- an email address for an individual guest
- whether a guest is a child
- notes about a household that only hosts see
- gift details to show guests, such as a bank account, a QR code or a payment link
- the email addresses of helpers they invite
Gifts go straight from guests to the couple. Zulemi only shows the details the couple entered.
What guests share
Guests reply to each event they are invited to: yes or no, and for some households how many people are coming. On Plus weddings a guest can also ask the wedding chat a question. The chat is answered by AI, not by the couple.
The page a guest sees shows only the events and details meant for their household. Guest pages ask search engines not to list them.
Emails we send
Emails come from noreply@zulemi.com. We send:
- sign-in codes, to the address you typed
- invitations to help with a wedding, to the address the owner entered
- invitations and reminders, when the couple sends them to a household's email
- a thank-you that repeats a household's replies, when the household has an email
- a note to the couple when their keepsake copy is ready
Every invitation and reminder has a link to stop wedding emails for that household. We do not send newsletters or advertising, and we do not send text messages.
Payments
Plans are paid on Stripe's checkout page; Stripe (Link) appears on checkout and on your receipt. You enter your card and billing details with Stripe, not with us, and we never see or keep your card number.
We tell Stripe your account ID, the plan and which wedding it is for. We keep the plan, the amount, the status and Stripe's reference for the payment, so we can unlock your wedding, handle refunds and keep accounts. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what it collects.
If a wedding planner referred you, we record which planner it was, so we can pay them any referral fee.
AI features
Two features use an AI model (OpenAI's GPT model, reached through Cloudflare's AI Gateway):
- Design help: the description of the look you type. Nothing about your guests is sent. We keep the designs it suggests, not your description.
- The guest chat on Plus weddings, which is answered by AI and not by the couple: the guest's question, plus the page details that household can already see. The guest list, email addresses, replies and gift account numbers are not sent, unless the couple wrote them into page text the household can see. We keep the chat's answers for 30 days, not the guest's question.
Cloudflare's AI Gateway passes each request to OpenAI. It keeps a usage record of every request: the time, the model, how long it took, its size and cost, which wedding and feature it was for, and the location and software of our server that sent it. It does not keep the words of the request or the answer. These usage records have no set end date today.
Our requests ask OpenAI not to store them. Under OpenAI's terms for businesses that use its models, OpenAI does not use them to train its models and may keep them for up to 30 days to check for abuse. No other part of Zulemi sends your words to an AI service today. Apps you connect yourself are covered under Connected apps.
Cookies and browser storage
We use only our own cookies, and none for advertising:
__Host-sf_accessand__Host-sf_refreshkeep hosts signed in (10 minutes and up to 30 days).__Host-sf_emaillinks a sign-in email to the browser that asked for it (10 minutes).__Secure-zl_hhremembers which household opened an invitation link, so the guest does not need the link again (180 days, only on that wedding's page).zl_rsvpshows a "saved" message once after a guest replies (2 minutes).zl_langremembers the language you chose on our public pages (1 year).sf_vidis a random number that lets us count visits to our public pages (1 year).
Your browser also keeps your language choices, a note that you have signed in on it, and, while you work, unsaved form entries in that tab (cleared after at most 6 hours or when you close the tab).
Counting visits
When someone visits our public pages, we count the visit with the random sf_vid number and any source and campaign labels in the link. We do not record the IP address or browser details with it, and we use no outside analytics. We do not track when guests open their invitations.
Who helps us run Zulemi
- Cloudflare runs our servers and stores each wedding in its own database. It also sends our emails and keeps operational logs, which can include technical details such as IP addresses.
- Stripe handles payments.
- OpenAI answers the AI requests described above.
Where data is processed: in the United States and around the world, through Cloudflare, OpenAI and Stripe, so your data may be handled outside your country.
To stop abuse we keep counters per visitor. Most store a scrambled form of the IP address, and some store the IP address itself. We delete the counters that hold the IP address itself within a day, and all counters within 30 days. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Who can see a wedding
The couple and the helpers they invite can see and download the guest list. Helpers can download a full backup copy, which includes household email addresses. The owner chooses who helps and can remove them. Guests see only their own household's invitation and replies.
Connected apps
The owner of a wedding, and the co-hosts and planners they invite, can connect an app in Settings, Connected apps: an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude, which signs in, or an agent with its own computer, which uses a setup code that works once, for 30 minutes. The app can then do what that person allows there, and never more than their own role allows: read the wedding, its guest list and replies, get a download link, add or change guests, events, replies and page text, and prepare reminders.
When a connected app asks for information, we send it to that app. What the app does with it is covered by the app's own terms and privacy policy, not ours.
An app keeps its access until you disconnect it in Connected apps or, if you chose a time limit when you connected it, until that ends.
How long we keep things
- Sign-in codes: 10 minutes. Sign-in sessions: up to 30 days. A guest's saved invitation session: up to 180 days.
- Visit counts (the random visit number and any source and campaign labels): 30 days in Zulemi. A copy in our internal reporting, with the same number, labels and time and no name, email address or IP address, has no end date yet.
- A wedding: until the couple deletes it. A paid page has no expiry date and is not archived automatically.
- Purchase records: kept for accounting and tax.
- Logs: activity and email logs, the guest chat's answers, and the abuse counters are deleted after 30 days. Counters that hold the IP address itself go within a day.
- When hosts remove or change a guest, the earlier entry stays with the wedding so the change can be undone, until the wedding is deleted.
A few small records stay after a deletion: a note that the wedding existed and was deleted, purchase records, the retired web address for 1 year, and counts that name no one.
Download and delete
- Hosts can download the guest list and the replies at any time; on the Free plan the guest list has the basic details. The full copy of the page opens the day after the wedding's last event.
- The owner can delete a wedding in Settings, Wedding details. The guest page stops at once, and the wedding's database and files are erased from our live systems right away. Copies in our hosting provider's backups and logs expire on that provider's schedule.
- You can download or delete your account on the Account page. Delete the weddings you own first. Deleting your account removes your sign-in details and purchase access; to leave a wedding you help with, ask its owner or write to us.
- Guests can stop wedding emails with the link in any invitation. To see, correct or delete a household's details, ask the couple or write to support@zulemi.com. If you write to us, we confirm the request with the couple or through the email address the invitation went to, then delete the household's names, email address and replies from the wedding. The wedding's undo history may still hold earlier names until the couple deletes the wedding. If the couple has already removed the household from the guest list, we handle the request by hand.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. You can object to how we use it, and you can complain to the data protection regulator where you live.
To ask, write to support@zulemi.com and say which account or wedding it is about. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you, and we reply within 30 days. For a household's details, the steps above apply.
Children
Accounts are for people 18 and over. Couples may add invited children to their guest list. Children's details are added by the couple, who is responsible for having a parent's permission; please add only what the day needs.
Changes
When what we do changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If we make an important change to this page or the Terms, we email account holders at least 14 days before it applies.
